Cystoscopy

​

  • A visual examination of the bladder performed with a telescope passed via the urethra (tube that drains the bladder)

  • You will have general anaesthetic

  • It is commonly performed to investigate:

- UTI

- Urinary bleeding

- Voiding difficulties

 

  • Any abnormalities found maybe treated at the time eg

- Bladder Cancer - Biopsy

- Stones - Lasered

- Prostate Enlargement (BPH) -  Lasered (HoLEP) & UROLIFT
