This year Dr Elmes hosted the Surgical Innovation Conference at the lovely Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort with fellow surgeons, Dr Sam Dowthwaite and Dr Danielle Wadley. The evening was a great success, with the room full of General Practitioners joining us for the night.
We were lucky enough to have the Da Vinci Robot brought in for the evening on display. This was an amazing opportunity for GPs to interact with the Robot and see just how good the Da Vinci Robot is for treating their patients.
Dr Elmes presented all the latest information on the advanced laser prostate treatment known as HoLEP. The evening allowed GPs to ask lots of questions about this procedure and what it is that makes this procedure so much more advanced over other style lasers. Dr Elmes presented excellent videos of HoLEP in action and the before and after shots of the prostate proving how successful this technique is for patients and how beneficial the HoLEP Laser is to treat patients lower urinary tract symptoms causing all those uncomfortable symptoms like increased urge and frequency, night-time urination, difficulty stop and stating urination as well as terminal dribbling.
